2010-04-23 | Further decrease in tomatoes prices

Prices of domestic greenhouse tomatoes decreased again.
On Thursday,
April 22,
the prices of tomatoes were as follows: 30 to 34 PLN (7.75-8.78 €)/6 kg for size B,
35 – 37 PLN (9.04-9.56 €)/6 kg for size BB and 36 - 42 PLN (9.30-10.85 €)/kg for size BBB depending on the quality and colour.

2010-04-23 | Prices of domestic cucumbers

|
On Thursday,
April 22,
prices of long greenhouse cucumbers decreased.
The lowest wholesale price of cucumbers was 3.50 PLN (0.90 €)/kg and the highest – 3.80 PLN (0.98 €)/kg.
Prices of short cucumbers were more stable.
The lowest price remained at 4.00 PLN (1.03 €)/kg.

2010-04-22 | Further decrease in prices of Iceberg lettuce
|

The demand for imported vegetables is decreasing what one can clearly see in the case of Iceberg lettuce.
As a result prices of Iceberg lettuce,
which were very high this season,
decreased almost to “normal” level.
On Wednesday,
April 21,
on the wholesale market in Bronisze the price of Spanish Iceberg lettuce was only 30 PLN (7.75 €)/10 pcs.
i.e.
by 10 PLN (2.58 €) less week-on-week.

2010-04-22 | Early cabbage only imported
|
|
One have to still wait several weeks for Polish early cabbage and now,
for the time being,
the supply of imported early cabbage is growing.
After Macedonian cabbage which is sold at 30 PLN (7.75 €)/7 pcs early cabbage imported from Italy appeared on the market.
On Wednesday,
April 21 the wholesale price of Italian cabbage was 26 PLN (6.72 €)/8 pcs.

|
|
Polish Gala is very popular on the Russian market.
Gala is highly appreciated by Russian consumers.
The demand for this variety in Russia caused that Polish trading companies started purchasing the bigger quantities of these apples.
Especially Gala Must – very nice coloured variety - is in big demand.

2010-04-21 | Increase in prices of white cabbage
|
|
Prices of white cabbage (heads up to 3 kg) have remained stable at 0.70 - 0.75 PLN (0.18-0.19 €)/kg for a long time.
However at the moment one can observe an upward trend in prices in the central Poland,
where on Tuesday,
April 20,
the price of white cabbage from cold storage reached 0.85 PLN (0.22 €)/kg.
one can also expect further increase in prices.

2010-04-20 | Ligol – the most expensive red variety
|
|
Trading companies are more interested in apples of red varieties.
Ligol is purchased at the highest price,
especially apples of the largest sizes.
The producer price of Ligol 80 + is from 0.90 to 1.00 PLN (0.23-0.26 €)/kg both in the areas of Grójec and Lublin Some companies are even ready to pay around 0,05 PLN (0.01 €)/kg more.
