2010-03-09 | Spadek cen jabłek w okolicach Sandomierza
Porównując ceny jakie oferowały skupy producentom z okolic Sandomierza na początku zeszłego tygodnia z cenami obecnymi, obserwuje się ich spadek o około 0,10 – 0,20 zł/kg. Dobrym przykładem są ceny jabłek odmian czerwonych z chłodni zwykłej w kalibrze 70+, m. in. Jonagored, Gloster czy Szampion, za które tydzień temu sadownicy otrzymywali od 0,70 do 0,80 zł/kg, a obecnie cena za te odmiany wynosi 0,60 do 0,65 zł/kg.

2010-03-09 | Growing supply of Polish greenhouse cucumbers

Prices of domestic  greenhouse cucumbers are slowly decreasing. On Monday, March 8 on the wholesale market in Bronisze the price of long cucumbers was 9.00 PLN (2.32 €)/kg and the price of short cucumbers was 9.80 PLN (2.52 €)/kg. It means that price decreased by 0.20 – 0.50 PLN (0.05-0.13 €)/kg week-on-week. Reduction in prices is caused by slowly growth in supply of domestic cucumbers on the market.

2010-03-08 | Prices of Chinese cabbage can grow
The demand for Chinese cabbage from domestic as well as foreign recipients is quite big. However due to large stocks of this cabbage its price increases very slowly.  In the first week of March prices of Chinese cabbage remained stable at the level of 1.50 – 1.80 PLN (0.39-0.46 €)/kg (including packaging) for good quality, green cabbage.

2010-03-08 | White cabbage from storage clamp adversely influence prices
The weather improved and as a result the supply of white cabbage is bigger. On the market cabbage from storage clamp appeared and prices decreased. On Friday, March 5, the purchase price of cabbage was from 0.60 PLN (0.15 €)/kg. However, the quality of cabbage from storage clamp is not good and many companies decided to leave prices at the level of 0.80 – 0.90 PLN (0.21-0.23 €)/kg but only for cabbage from cold storage. 2010-03-05 | Polish onion too expensive for eastern markets
As we have already mentioned, it seems that the prices of onions have reached the level that adversely affects the demand. Prices have stabilized at the level of 1.10 – 1.25 PLN €/kg depending on the region of Poland. Such high level of prices makes the export to Eastern countries almost impossible.

2010-03-05 | Bigger supply of root vegetables

The weather improved what resulted in bigger supply of root vegetables on the market. Producers have no longer problems with handling and delivering the goods. So far growth in supply did not significantly affect prices and contributed largely to their stability.

2010-03-04 | Stable prices of onion
After the very high demand for onions, which one could see in February, the onion market is relatively calm at the moment. The demand is still high but clearly lower than a few weeks ago.  The supply of onion is sufficient due to import of onion from the Netherlands. Prices of onions stopped growing.
