In Poland the lubelskie province is famous for big production of raspberries. About 80 % of raspberries in Poland are produced in this province.

According to Polish Analytical Centre of Customs Administration (CAAC) from January to March this year the export of fresh mushrooms to countries of CIS amounted to 6.5 thousand t and it was by 63 % and over 70 % bigger than in the corresponding periods in 2008 and 2007 when the export amounted to 4.0 thousand t and 3.8 thousand t respectively.

The supply of domestic sweet peppers isn’t still very big but there are more and more of peppers on the market. One can expect that the supply especially of green peppers will considerably increase in a few days.

According to Polish Analytical Centre of Custom Administration (CAAC) from January to March 2009 the export of Polish fresh mushrooms into our main recipients Germany and the Netherlands was considerably lower than in the corresponding periods of 2008 and 2007.

On the wholesale market there are already very small quantities of carrot of last year’s crop. Early carrot both domestic and imported dominates on the market.

As we have already informed the supply of cauliflowers this year is generally lower than in the corresponding period of last year. As a result the prices of cauliflowers are rather stable.
