2010-04-15 | Season for domestic; lower demand for imported vegetables

According to traders due to the beginning of the season for domestic early vegetables,
one can expect decreasing demand for imported vegetables in the near future what may result in lower prices.
As we already informed prices of imported lettuces started to drop.

2010-04-14 | Imported lettuces finally cheaper
|
|
After a period of very high prices of imported lettuces the situation finally changed what one can observe especially in the case of Iceberg lettuce imported from Spain.
Its price decreased from 70 PLN (18.04 €)/10 pcs to 45 PLN (11.60 €)/10 pcs and although the price is still relatively high the consumers will be surely pleased about direction of changes in prices.

2010-04-14 | Further decrease in cucumbers prices
|
|
The wholesale prices greenhouse cucumbers have decreased recently.
On Tuesday,
April 13 the prices of Polish cucumbers were 3.70 – 4.00 PLN (0.95-1.03 €)/kg for long cucumbers and from 4.20 PLN (1.08 €)/kg for short cucumbers.
And one can expect further decline in prices.
On the market there are big quantities of cheap cucumbers from the Netherlands.

2010-04-13 | Bigger supply of peppers
|

In addition to peppers from Spain available on the market,
Dutch peppers has already appeared.
The prices of peppers are quite high at the moment but bigger supply may cause decrease in prices.
On Monday,
April 12 ,
on the wholesale market in Bronisze the price of red pepper from Spain was around 80 PLN (20.60 €)/carton 5 kg and the price of Dutch pepper was 78 PLN (20.10 €)/carton 5 kg.

2010-04-13 | Bigger demand for apples Idared from CA
|

Most trading companies dealing with export apples have recently bought apples Idared,
mostly from the ordinary cold storage.
At the moment they are more and more interested in Idared from CA.
The purchase price of apples from CA is higher from the price of those ones from ordinary cold storage,
however it is not satisfied for producers.

2010-04-09 | The price of Golden Delicious Apples is stable for a long time
|
Purchasing fruit companies are very interested in Golden Delicious apples from KA and ULO for quite long time.
Prices for this type of apples are stable all over the country.
Most of purchase places are interested in Golden Delicious in caliber of 70+ and offers for it between 1,00 to1,25zł/kg.
Some of purchase places can offer between 1,00 for smaller caliber in 65+.
